Paris is without a doubt the easiest place to fall in love with. Despite many words of discouragement from friends and family regarding the "let down" of Paris, I maintained hope that it would be everything my romantic mind had dreamt of. As it turns out, it very much was.
I'm not sure if it was the overwhelming presence of art, the fairy-tale color palette and design of the architecture, or the ornamental streets recognizable from many French films, but Paris immediately felt like a home for the heart.
Like any good tourist, I picked up a few lovely things to bring home with me - prints from a film photographer's pop-up shop, a copy of Elizabeth Bishop's Geography III from Shakespeare & Co., and an Arc de Triomphe iron-on patch for my jacket.
Paris, I hope to be back soon!
